Energy Technology

Technology of energy is a technology-related fields ranging from the source, generation, storage, conversion - energy and their utilization for human needs. The main needs of the sector the largest in number for the next mass is the sector of electricity and the sector of transportation.

Sources of energy can be classified into two parts namely renewable energy and renewable energy. In the generation of energy generation systems that have been used to meet world energy needs, such as:

Photovoltaics

Photovoltaics (PV) is the technology sector and research related to applications of solar panels for energy by converting sunlight into electricity. Because of the increasing demand for clean energy sources, making solar panels and photovoltaic collection has expanded dramatically in recent years.

Photovoltaic production has doubled every two years, rising an average 48 percent each year since 2002, making energy technologies with the world's fastest growing. At the end of 2007, according to preliminary data, global production reached 12,400 megawatts.

Roughly 90% of the capacity of these generators include electric system tied. Building Integrated Photovoltaic atau BIPV. Such installation is done on the ground (and sometimes integrated with farming and cultivation) or built on the roof or walls of the building, known as Building Integrated Photovoltaic or BIPV.

Measurement units and financial incentives, such as feed-in tariff for solar power, has helped solar PV installations in many countries including Amerika Serikat . Japan, and the United States.

Solar panels

Solar panels are devices consisting of solar cells that turn light into electricity. They called up the sun or solar "sol" because mataharimerupakan strongest light source that can be utilized. Although nuclear energy is not renewable energy, but nuclear supporters can be sustainable with the use of breeder reactors using uranium -238 or thorium or both. On the other hand many opponents of nuclear energy in sustainable use of the term as a synonym for renewable energy, and therefore did not enter into the nuclear sustainable energy.

Geothermal energy

Geothermal energy comes from radioactive disintegration in the center of the Earth, which makes the heat of the Earth, and from the sun, which makes the hot surface of the earth. He can be used in three ways:

  • Geothermal electricity
  • geothermal heating, through pipes into the Earth
  • geothermal heating, through a heat pump.

Solar energy

Solar  panels  (photovoltaic arrays)  on a small yacht at sea can charge the 12 V to 9 amperes in full sunlight and direct.

Because most renewable energy center is a "solar energy" term is a bit confusing. But here is the energy that is collected directly from sunlight.

Solar power can be used for:

  • generate electricity using solar cells
  • generate electricity using solar thermal power plant
  • generate electricity using solar tower
  • heating the building, directly
  • heating the building, through the heat pump
